Last few days update:
1. Finally signed on with Tutors (Varsity Tutors, that is). I'm now waiting for some student to ask for tutoring. Not a good outlook. My prediction is that students are eager to get tutored for maths and sciences and not English lit or writing. They are of the opinion that you don't need to know how to write in order to graduate from a science major (or with a science major).
2. Lularoe is ongoing. My supervisor said that my post had the wrong URL so I fixed it. Unfortunately, the emails have the wrong URL that I've sent out. No real biggie.
3. No real movement in the websites. I've decided to offload eBay. Now there are half a dozen of my stuff in it. I have no real eagerness to try to revive my eBay. The thing's totally crummed up, I'm afraid.
4. Etsy isn't any better but I'm not quite as discouraged by them. I think there might be someone who'll like my work there. But there are thousands of handmakers who sell on etsy though.
5. Emailing newsletters has been accomplished about my new job as a tutor. I've updated at least one of my blogs about this too. Twitter has also been updated. FB has me as a tutor but I'm not sure it's that interesting to those there so it's not doing much more than being in place. It has directions to or pointers to where they can contact me on the tutoring website.
6. Trying to see if I can find a used car. I'm due to go to the bigger city where I can get a good deal. the salesman claims they're having President's day sale so we shall see if anything comes out of it. I'm hoping the dogs will be fine in the car as I don't think they ought to be inside the dealership.
7. Yarnwork is ongoing. I'm interested in some of the projects. Others are fine too, but I am running low on one colour. The hat should be finished sometime. It's not quite known where it's gotten filed to, though.
8. The books that I'm giving away are almost caught up.
9. Publishing online the two books I've written seem to be getting looks but they're merely there and then they're gone. No comments. Other places have had comments on LR - they all hate it. The LO seems to have got better ratings but not a lot of comments. One person said it wasn't their cup of tea but they have it two and half stars. LTT had a three and half stars and the reviewer said it was too short a book and she wanted something longer as she liked the story. I was thrilled she said that. I wish she'd say on Amazon but I'm not going to complain about that. Thoughts book is being asked about but that's just one person.
10. I'm trying to get on Thirty One Gifts. They've got a new drive to get people to join. I might go for the regular joining fee if I have more money to spend.
11. Salary or income (soc sec) is coming in a few days. I will have to consult my Guardian Angel on what to use the money on. I trust Him implicitly. The days surrounding this deposit are filled with desparation and sadness. I cannot stretch this too far. I am always unhappy and some of the gremlins are also gathering round to see what they can do to fleece the money. I hope that the Tutoring service will get me some income. I don't have a lot to spend on but the big bills that are coming are: the traffic tickets ($468) and then the Waste Management ($488) which both will take up most of my income for February. Then Xlibris needs about $700 for the installment to promote one of the books they've published for me. I have a bill from Von Maur and one from Swiss Colony. TMI, I guess but I have to put it out there. Cell phone bill. Tax penalty bill which is a rather sad case. The bill wasn't paid and then the Indiana IRS put a levy onmy bank account. My bank fought back and said my income was protected as it was Social Security. So I may need to finally pay that bill using a money order or cashier's check. The bank has it's own way of paying my bills - and the debits that I charge on my debit card. The logic escapes me but that's the banking thing and I don't know what I can do. I need more income or else it'll be like that forever. Until I croak and die and leave my heirs intestate or whatever it is called these days. I have heirs but they're doing ok and they don't really know about me more than they have been told.
12. I have two sons that I know of. Another son is somewhere floating around and lives in the UK. The other two live in USA. That's about all I want to state.
